Services

Custom therapeutic massage
The treatment begins with a health history and assessment. Each treatment is tailored to the individual needs of the client, drawing from a variety of techniques such as deep tissue, myofascial release, cupping, assisted stretching, and more. Whether the focus is pain relief, stress reduction, or improved mobility, sessions are designed to support your specific goals and help you feel more at ease in your body.

Prenatal massage

Prenatal massage is designed to support the body through pregnancy by relieving muscle tension, easing joint discomfort, and promoting relaxation. Treatments are adapted for each stage of pregnancy, and specialized equipment is used to ensure comfort and safety for both parent and baby throughout the session.

Cupping
Cupping uses negative pressure to lift soft tissue, helping to increase circulation, reduce muscle tension, and support fascial release. This technique can assist in pain management, recovery, and improving tissue mobility as part of a therapeutic treatment plan.

Stretch sessions
Practitioner-led stretching involves passive movement techniques to help improve joint mobility, reduce muscular tension, and enhance overall flexibility. This approach allows clients to fully relax while targeted stretches are performed to support functional movement and recovery.

About me

A grid of brown tiles or squares.

Hi, I’m Emily, a Registered Massage Therapist and the founder of The Groove Massage Therapy. I studied at the Ontario College of Health and Technology and have been proudly practicing since 2019.

My journey into massage therapy began through my background as a dancer and rugby player. After years of relying on holistic care to support my own recovery, I became passionate about helping others feel their best through therapeutic touch and movement. That passion continues to drive my practice today.

I offer fully customized treatments tailored to each client’s individual needs. My approach often incorporates a blend of deep tissue work, myofascial release, cupping, assisted stretching, prenatal massage, TMJ therapy, and more. One thing that sets my treatments apart is the use of passive movement throughout the session—this helps release tension, increase mobility, and deepen the effectiveness of each technique.

What I love most about being an RMT is helping people feel good in their bodies. Whether you’re recovering from injury, managing stress, or just in need of some self-care, I’m here to help you get back in the groove.
